BetAmerica has been rebranded to TwinsSpires and going forward BetAmerica horse racing, sportsbook, and online casino will no longer be available.

BetAmerica is one of the premiere websites where Americans are able to place bets on horse racing. But just how good is BetAmerica? This BetAmerica review will help you figure out if this is the place for your horse racing bets.

The following table offers a quick breakdown that will help you figure out your BetAmerica opinion with a BetAmerica review at a glance.

BetAmerica Review Summary

BetAmerica continues to be the stand-out online horse race betting platform. Compared to its competitiors, BetAmerica is much more polished and user-friendly. When you consider that they also have online sports betting and an online casino for punters in New Jersey, BetAmerica seems to have (or will soon have) all the products a gambler could want.

BetAmerica Review

Betting markets / available sports – 4/5

In this BetAmerica review, we will also look at the betting markets and available sports on the site to help you make your BetAmerica opinion. One of the most important parts of this BetAmerica review is just exactly what you can bet on.

My BetAmerica opinion is bolstered by the fact that the site offers horse races and greyhound races from around the world.

You can also live stream the races easily through the website or through the app if you’re from New Jersey. They also offer a wide range of other sports, including:

  • Basketball
  • Baseball
  • Hockey
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Football
  • Golf
  • MMA
  • Motor Racing
  • Boxing
  • Aussie Rules
  • Cricket
  • Darts
  • Cycling
  • Rugby Union

For this BetAmerica review, I consider the fact that most any sport I can think of is available as a great boon to the site.

BetAmerica’s odds – 5/5

For an April 3rd greyhound race, Ww’s Gold Token was given odds of 5/2 or 3.5 and ML (morning line) odds of 1/1 or 2. So if you were to place $10 on Ww’s Gold Token to win, you would receive $25 based on the odds and $20 based on the morning line odds.

The odds are updated quite frequently, so in this BetAmerica review, my BetAmerica opinion is much higher because of this attention to detail.

Streaming and live betting on BetAmerica 5/5

The site offers live streaming from over 300 racetracks in the United States. There are almost 4,000 races to watch live as well as bet on every week. It should also be noted that the live streaming option is integrated with the app, making for an even better experience. Not in the US at the time of a race? You will not be able to place a bet with BetAmerica. Instead, check the local operators offers, such as the melbourne cup betting offers if you are currently in Australia.

The site seeks to make it extremely easy to watch the live stream, eliminating the need for any pop-up windows, you are able to watch it directly on the site while still being able to view your betting slip and available betting options.

When you are a verified customer, you get a monthly allowance of 10 free hours of live streaming, with the ability to earn more hours based on how many times you bet on the site per month – the more you bet, the more hours you are able to watch. The feed does tend to have a delay of a few seconds, but that is to be expected when live streaming any event.

BetAmerica mobile app 5/5

The app is available for both iOS/iPhone users and Android users at this time. The app is very easy to use and seeks to offer a mobile streamlined version of the already existing website.

I love the integration of live streaming for the horse and greyhound races straight from the app. You can also see the scores come in live for other sports that you have placed your bets on.

The process to place your bets is the same as on the desktop website, making it easy to transition from the two depending on the device you are on.

BetAmerica payment options 4/5

The BetAmerica banking methods available through the site are:

  • eCash – a free option, available from any United States checking or savings account. Can be used to deposit or withdraw.
  • Visa and Mastercard – the only cards accepted. Can be used as a debit, credit, or prepaid card to pay.
  • PayNearMe – has a $3.99 fee. However, it is convenient as it is available at 7-Eleven or Family Dollar stores.
  • NETELLER – can be made with either Visa or Mastercard. An eWallet service that does not charge fees. Can be used to deposit or withdraw.

I took one star off because as of right now, PayPal is not a payment option. The only other withdrawal method currently available for the website is to checks, which seems a little old fashioned.

Customer care 3/5

If you do not wish to try to contact someone for customer help, there are FAQs to consult on the site. If you decide you need to speak to a person, you can email, call, or live chat.

I personally have used the live chat option a few times. A plus is that you get connected fairly easily. My two live chat experiences were very helpful as both times the agent was very willing to seek out and find answers to my questions as quickly as possible.

However, I took off points because the last time I needed help via live chat, the agent took way too long to answer me and when he did, he would just tell me to check the website with no further helpful information. It was very lazy and disappointing.

Our Verdict 4.5/5

BetAmerica is a great website for your sports betting needs. I love the integration of live streaming with the app and website, and the number of races and live streams available each week. I also love the ease of use of the app as well as the amount of care put into developing it. The number of sports available and the quick corrections for odds when they change are also big pluses.

However, the cons of the website are inconsistent customer service as well as the limited withdrawal options available to customers.

If you haven’t made up your mind yet, check out our review of a competitor, such as TVG, and see how they compare.
